Brief Answer:
Sebaceous cyst, furuncle,folliculitis are possible

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.

As the site of lesion is not over the penis, it is unlikely to be due to STD. You had not mentioned anything about your sexual activities. If it persists for a long time without any pain, then it could be a sebaceous cyst. It is a collection and retention of a normal secreting adjuvant glands of skin. No harm even if untreated.
If it is of short duration (within days) and slightly painful on pressing, it could be a tiny furuncle or a hair folliculitis. If it does not recurs, nothing to worry and can be ignored. Consult your physician. He or she will treat, if it really needs to be.

Brief Answer:
Unlikely to be STD.Furuncle, folliculitis possible

Detailed Answer:
Hi, Welcome back.
Sebaceous cyst can simply be ruled out as it was painful. (sebaceous cyst would be painless). Possibility of furuncle or folliculitis is there. STD is unlikely. If there is recurrence, a course of antibiotics may be necessary. Otherwise it can be ignored.

Brief Answer:
Investigation and treatment as per your consultant

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome once again.

Whether you need Antibiotics or not, has to be decided by your treating physician. The right choice of antibiotics also would be selected as per the choice of physician.Combination of Amoxycillin and Cloxacillin is the choice of mine.

Regarding STDs, there are more than 30 diseases caused by different types of organisms like virus, bacteria, fungus, parasites etc. The treatment and investigations are different. Certain diseases can be diagnosed only on inspection alone. So consult your physician and he/she will guide you better.
