Hi!
Welcome to health care magic!
I am Dr. Saddiq Ul Abidin. I have read your problem in detail and will try to help you in best way possible.
Actually this a very tricky situation to be into. Mostly those nubelizers or medicines which are given to cause airway relief and dilation, to facilitate breathing in lung diseases like in your case, have a direct and opposite action on heart by increasing heart rates and inducing abnormal rythm like PVC in your case.
Allegra or other non sedating antihistamines are given with caution in some specific types of heart rythm abnormalities including, long QT syndromes and in PVCs can be taken safely. You can take fexonfenedine 60 mg twice if problems persists.
For inhalers, as far as those ones are concerned which you can use safely are, optra or atem inhalers along with steroids only inhalers like fluticortisones etc. Those can give you alot of symptomatic benefits.
Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. kindly rate me before closing, and leave your feedback if possible.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ul abidin.
The PVCs are under control, having had a problem in over a year. The difficulty breathing has much improved BUT at night for some reason, I feel uncomforable again. I need to lay down and fall asleep to get relief, which works, because I wake up fine again.
My doctor is away and the fill in gave me Methylprednisolone 4mg pack to take if I had an emergency. I do not think this is an emergency, I would like to know what I can use for the night time relief until this passes. I am having an allergic reaction to Whey Protien. All other symptoms have passed fully.
An inhaler that would open up my upper airway would be ideal! Before I call his office again and disturb his day, I'd like to know if this is reasonable for me to ask him for a prescription. I appreciate your time

Detailed Answer:
Hi! The uncomfort you mentioned, is it because of your breath? and if you are feeling difficulty reragrding that you can use atem nebuliser or inhaler, which is safe for your heart issues and give you respiratory relief too.
Meanwhile you can try approaching your doctor, and when you get hold of him, try to discus all these issues in detail.
The steroids you mentioned may not be started now and can be waited with, if this discomfort progresses to shortness of breath significantly, then you may proceed with it and after using never leave it promptly but you have to taper it down gradually by reducing 1mg per day, like 4mg then 3mg then 2 mg n finally 1mg before stopping it.
Kindly rate me generously before closing the discussion and leave a review if possible. In future you can approach me directly through my profile. Thanks.
