Suggest Treatment For Coughing And Wheezing For Months

i have had coughing and wheezing for four months. I have tried an antibiotic, an oral steroid, an inhaled steroid, Mucinex and albuterol inhalers. I have a history of allergic asthma, but haven t had any problems for the last 20 years until recently. I get short of breath quite easily. What else can I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to an allergic asthma.
As OTC medications, you can use antihistamines such as Cetirizine.
These medications work very well in relieving the symptoms.
If the symptoms continue, you should use an allergist and get evaluated.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
