Is A Swollen Lymph Node In The Throat Suggestive Of HIV Infection?

Question: I'm not doing too well Doc, I can't stop the anxiety and fear that I may have been infected with HIV. I still have a lot of phlegm stuck in my throat and a swollen lymph node on my throat next to my Adam's Apple. Thank you for checking up on me. I guess this is my battle that I have to fight. It's tough, but I pray I make it out.
Brief Answer:
Not related to HIV.
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Welcome to HCM.
The symptoms you have are non specific for HIV. It might be due to some other infection for which you need not to think so much, just consult ENT doctor to isolate the cause and follow the treatment.
Allay the fear or anxiety related to HIV because the possibility is very unlikely so just calm down, forget about the past and move ahead in life happily. For any further query feel free to ask me any time.
Thank You
