Is Accidental Ingestion Of Xanax By A Child Fatal?

Question: I need to ask ab a child accidentally swallowing 1mg of xanax.
Brief Answer:
Just keep a watch on her
Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM
Xanax is a benzodiazepine drug and is not recommended for use in children of less than 7 years of age. But the drug is one of safest drugs and even in overdose the drug doesn't cause serious side effects.
If the baby ingested 1 mg then for few hours keep an eye on his respiratory rate. If the rate falls below 10-12 then consult an ER otherwise no need to worry. The baby will sleep and will remain drowsy for a couple of hours. No need to worry for that.
The lethal dose of Xanax is very high so just remain relaxed she is not in danger, but keep an eye.
Thanks and Take care
