Could Unbalanced Pattern Of Breathing Be Related To Mass On Back Of Head?

My 4 months old baby breathes fast, the respiratory rate can go up to 96 sometimes and never been less than 65. She has a mass at the back of her head right above the neck. We asked for MRI but the appointment we got is on July. Could this mass be responsible for the fast and unbalanced pattern of breathing?

Yes, that kind of mass can cause irregular rapid breathing.
In my opinion, your 4 month old baby is having developing mass in neck.
It is now mostly compressing spinal cord or part of brain.
So it causes pressure effect and rapid irregular breathing.
So I advice you to consult pediatric neurosurgeon as soon as possible.
This kind of pressure effect is lethal and life threatening. So don't wait at home.
Consult doctor immediately.
