Is An Umbilical Hernia A Serious Cause Of Concern?
Question: just curious I've had an umbilical hernia for 2 years now very small. I'm a 25 year old male 170 lbs 5"11 it's about a quarter the size of a golf ball maybe smaller its a good color just at the tip of a hernia slight discoloration like something wants to pop out. is this anything serious ? can it wait till I go back home and see my gastrointestinal doctor

However if the hernia becomes blue or changes color and/or becomes very painful you should go immediately to the nearest hospital (emergency room) to exclude any incarcerated hernia which is an emergency.
