Question: my 18 month old sleeps with her mouth open. she is on the 10th percentile for height and weight. should I be concerned?
Brief Answer:
Any height and weight between 5th -95th centile is normal
Detailed Answer:
Hi...any weight and height between 5th to 95th centiles are normal for age.
You need not worry about the growth.
I have a few questions for you -
1. Does she snore a lot and daily?
2. How is her sleep at night? Is it sound or disturbed?
3. How is her day time activity? Is there any excessive day time sleepiness?
4. Does she have recurrent cold?
5. Is there any family history of allergic rhinitis or asthma?
6. Does she have any skin allergy?
7. Can see if her tonsils are enlarged and get back?
Please get back to me with answers to above questions and I will be glad to help you.

thank you for your reply.
she snores only when she has a cold. sleeps a solid 10-12 hours at night if she is not unwell. she's had 3 throat infections and 5 bouts of bronchiolitis. she is active during the day, only has one 90 minute nap.she has no cold at the moment. nio asthma in family history. no skin allergy. I have hayfever and a pet allergy. tonsils look fine.
