Are Weakness,headache And Pain In Legs Side Effects Of Prednisolone?
Hi, I m 40/M. got allergic rhinitis,sinusitis & nasal obstruction. I always suffer from these symptoms along with running nose.I have severe gastric problem too.I live in a coastal area in a relatively dusty weather. Last year I consulted doctor and doctor prescribed me with -Tab Odimont LC( bed time 3 weeks),Flomist nasal spray (3 times 3 weeks),Tab Prednisolone 5 mg(OD 7days) & Cap Bevon (OD 1 month). Although I got relief after taking those medicines,I could take only half the course only as I was feeling dizziness and pains in my legs bones,weakness ,heavu head etc. Now this year again I was feeling the same symptoms with more gastric problems. i was trying with Homeo medicines but no cure. So I started the same treatment as last year with my available remaing course of medicines. I got better soon but again feeling same problems of weakness,heavy head,pains in legs etc. Please tell me which medicine is giving me these problems. Most of the problems I face during bed time. I m taking prednislone after Lunch. Please help. Regards Biswajit

Prednisolone is a powerful anti inflammatory and life saving medication used for many conditions such as asthma, SLE, arthritis, crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, severe allergies, blood problems, skin and eye conditions, immune system disorders, cancer etc. It has also some side effects too. It can make blood sugar level high. Signs of high blood sugar are feeling very thirsty, increase frequency of urine, headache, dizziness, fatigue, tired, weakness etc. Again, it can deplete potassium which cause pain and cramping in the arms and legs. It also can atrophy of muscles which leads to develop severe pain in arms and legs.
