Is Cold Water Bath Advisable Post Frenuloplasty Operation?
would advise Lukewarm bath
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
I would recommend that you take a bath with lukewarm water rather than cold water. Cold water can limit the blood flow even temporarily and can reduce the swelling somewhat but can later on cause some pain and discomfort. Try to gently soak the penis with warm wet pads rather then taking a regular bath as usual. Avoid any soap or bath salts, scented oils, lotions or gels especially near the operated frenulum/penis.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks

Low blood sugar, most likely, If transient then nothing to worry about
Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
Most likely it was a low blood sugar combined with some pain /discomfort that lead to the temporary head spinning episode. Get your B.P checked to rule out hypotension. Most likely it wont be anything to worry about if it was transient and you recovered in a few seconds.
As far as the wound goes, I read your previous queries, too and you seem to be worried about the wound healing process. If the medications are used in time and you are keeping a good hygiene w.r.t the operated region then slight bleeding is of no serious concern.
You may upload some good quality scanned images of the wound region to assess for any abnormal pattern.
Let me know if you have any query
Thanks

One Image is fine, got the picture
Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
Hope you have been feeling better.
Though only one image is somewhat clear, I got the idea based on it. The wound is still quiet fresh and at this stage no real bridging granulation tissue has formed yet. The margins are clean and clear. You need to take your antibiotics regularly , which must have been prescribed both orally and topically. Take good care of the wound and apply both the diluted antiseptic as well as the antibiotics as gently as possible. Try not to manipulate the foreskin by examining the area frequently. Keep the surrounding scrotal skin shaved and cleaned to avoid irritation and infection. It will take at least 2 weeks for the area to heal completely. You may let me know about the progress, then. For now just follow the above measures and hopefully you will recover very well.
Let me know if you have any query
Thanks.

You should go for a follow up visit
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Hope you have been feeling better.
As I said previously, based on the images you sent, the wound would still at the 7th post operative day be fresh. It can bleed with a trigger such as erection. There was no luminal manipulation done in frenuloplasty so its unlikely that the bleeding source was the urethra. You can go for a post operative follow up visit as its been a week since you got operated. After examining the wound your surgeon will most likely reassure you about the progress of your recovery.
Let me know if you have any other concern/clarification.
Thanks.

3 purpose followup visit
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
That is a good question.
The purpose of your visit should be
A) to have the surgeon examine the wound thoroughly to have a satisfactory opinion regarding the wound healing and recovery.
B) to ask whether there is any need for stitch removal at this stage depending upon the suture material used.
C) to let him know of the blood drops on your trousers history to advise a urine R/E and Culture sensitivity if appropriate.
Other than that there aren't many questions that would pertain to your situation based on your surgery.
Let me know if there is any query
I will be more than glad to clarify it
Thanks

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
The weakness can be an expected feeling since you have been operated recently. A complete blood count can be advised to look for anemia. The dry throat can be associated with the medications that you are currently using especially if they include opioids. Other than that you can increase your water intake and get your throat examined by your GP to look for a focus of infection.
Thanks.

hi.
Carrots, Green beans, Oranges and Strawberries are foods that would benefit the healing process.
Eggs are a matter of preferrence. If a non veg person wants to start eating eggs, he can do so provided there is no history of allergy associated with it.
Thanks.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
If you feel that your sweating has increased post operatively and you are experiencing a rapid heartbeat on a persistent basis then the thyroid function tests including TSH should be done to rule out hyperthyroidism which can present with such a presentation. However if its a single episode then you should not worry as that can happen to anyone and can be related to anxiety. Such events can occur postoperatively as the apprehensions of the patient can increase.
Provided your kidneys are fine i.e the creatinine/GFR levels are normal , the kidney adjusts for the urine loss according to the water intake. Sweat loss is mainly due to the rise in external temperature and is not an alternative route for excretory purposes.
I couldn't really understand the query regarding the blood and urine ph
"can u clarify me about the urine pH and the blood pH that in the operation are"
You may elaborate it further so that I can answer accordingly.
Thanks.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
The urethra lumen is entirely closed of normally. Unless there is a urethral tear that leads to extravasation of urine, there is no way that there could be any significant intermixing that affects the blood ph.
As far as the stitches are concerned i wouldnt advise any manipulation by yourself. You should let your surgeon have a look at it to remove any unwanted stitches.
