Is Common Cold Contagious?
Question: what is best for the common cold? right now I take and grate ginger, garlic along with lemon juice and honey and boil them as tea and drink. Is this sufficient?
Is the common cold contagious? I decided not to work this weekend because of the cold. I work with children as a HHA. How soon can I go back to work?

Brief Answer:
Try steam inhalations.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Mrs XXXXX,
welcome to HCM.
Common cold does not require any treatment. Anything that you drink warm is harmless and will help (like ginger sause etc). steam inhalations free you rapidly from symptoms.
Yes, it can be contageous especially to children. If you donot get relieved in a week, you can try OTC cold medicines like cetrizine. Avoid taking any cold sort of things..
In general, you become non contageous once you can breath free and don't cough anymore. That's the best time you can join back to work.
All the best.
