Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
I need to go into some details here.
Want to request you for a few details.
Unexplained infertility means that all the investigations for infertility have come out to be normal.
Is that so ?
Let me count them off -
1. Semen analysis of your husband.
2. Patency of your fallopian tubes - HSG or laparoscopy
3. Ovulation - confirmed by follicular monitoring
4. No fibroids or uterine factors.
5. unable to conceive after trying actively for more than a year.
Have all the above tests been done ?
And what is the report of follicular study for this month ?
What is the egg size ?
What injection is she planning to give ?
How many cycles of follicular monitoring have you undergone ?
IUI has 10 - 15 % success rate in cases with unexplained infertility.
So 1 in 6 patients going for IUI will conceive.
Success rates may improve with multiple cycles of IUI.
Please provide the details I asked for so that I can guide you accordingly.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Take care.

Okay.
Thank you for the update.
Yes, go ahead with the HCG injection.
PLease get a scan done again day after tomorrow morning to check that egg has ruptured ( ovulation is confirmed ).
Then you can go for the IUI.
I need to know the semen analysis report, that is not uploaded.
The HSG Is normal ( tubes are open and patent ).
Now , I need some more details.
Since how long are you trying to conceive.
How many cycles of follicular monitoring are done ?
What is your height and weight ?
Your age is 22, right ?
Please get back with these details.
Take care.
hi doctor given hcg 10000mg injection on 4/2/2016 at 11;30 am,
scanning report confirmed me that ovalution occured on 5/2/16 11;00am(size of follicile was 22 *23mm ).
i dont know clearly when it was exactly happend. but IUI was done at the time of
5pm on the same day(5/2/2016).
my doctor asked me have you gone to urine befor iui. yes i have gone to rest room befor iui twice,is there any problem if i had gone to rest room before iui?.
is it correct time to done iui at 5pm on the day?
if yes 1 iui is enough for that cycle.
what type of precautions i need to take?
i am trying to concieve from last one year.
my doctor told mesemen analasys of my husband seems to ok ,we lost that report thats why i have not uploaded.

Hello
After follicle size of 22 by 23 mm, was it confirmed that it ruptured ( ovulation occurred ).
If yes, then IUI was done at the correct time.
It could have been done a bit earlier , at the time when rupture was confirmed, but yes, 5pm is also acceptable time.
It is good that you had passed urine before IUI, as it helps in insertion of the semen.
Yes, 1 IUI is enough for that cycle.
precautions include -
Rest for the next 2 weeks after the IUI.
Take medications as advised by your doctor.
Avoid eating food from outside.
Do not take any medication without consulting your doctor first.
Avoid stress, travelling.
Refrain from sexual activity if possible.
It is important to have a semen analysis report, it is very essential for future treatment.
Chances of success of IUI are 10 - 15 %, so please remain hopeful.
Was this your first IUI ?
thanks for your suggestions, from post iui i had experience cramping lower abdominal till today, what was that pain?
how much quantity of sperm is required for iui ? normally i noticed that my husband carries nearly two tea spoons of his sperm in sterile cap.
is it enoug for that ? normally how much sperm is produced from one ejuclation.
how can we know whether implantation occured or not.
thanks in advance
As below
Detailed Answer:
Some amount of cramping and pain in lower abdomen is normal after IUI, as the semen is deposited high up near the uterus.
Normally, in an ejaculate, there is around 2 - 5 ml of seminal fluid.
For IUI, even 2 ml is enough, as it is concentrated and washed semen.
So two teaspoons is quite enough.
From one ejaculate, almost more than 100 million sperms are produced.
You cannot know whether implantation has occurred or not.
Only if you miss your next period, pregnancy can be confirmed.
So relax, dont stress, and if you miss your period, please take a pregnancy test.
Take care.
Keep in touch.
