Is Contraception Required After Intercourse Post Plan-B And My Way Intake?

Posted on Fri, 22 Sep 2017
Question: I had unprotected sex on Aug 24th. It was on the 13 day of my cycle so I figured I better take plan B. We had another accident on the 28th. I was advised to take another pill. Well, the condomm broke again last night. I'm suppose to get my period in 7 days but I don't know if I will because I took those two pills. Did those pills push my ovulation back so I'm ovulating now? Should I take another pill? That seems like a lot of hormones. I went and got another pill but I really don't want to take it if I don't have to. Plus, this is My Way. Not Plan B, as I previously took. Am I going to react differently to this one? Is my future fertility at stake? I should state that he did pull out before ejaculating.

Brief Answer:
Another pill should be taken

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.

The pill needs to be repeated of the sexual intercourse was 24 hours after taking the last pill.
Since the ovulation can be delayed, so it is advisable to take another pill.

Both My way and plan B contain levonorgestrel and are just different brands of same medicine.
The pill does need to affects the future fertility.

It just makes the next few periods irregular.

Hope you found the answer helpful.
