Is Diarrhea An Indication Of Elevated Liver Enzymes?
Question: I have been taking epistane for 2 weeks and I am having occasional diarrhea; is this diarrhea an indication of an elevated liver enzymes. I will stop taking it and do blood work if necessary?
Brief Answer:
Diarrhea alone does not mean liver inflammation.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM
If you have noticed diarrhea after taking epistane, it can be a side effect. Many products produce diarrhea in some people.
Diarrhea does not mean that you have an inflammation of the liver and rise in the liver enzymes. If you have poor appetite, nausea or are passing high colored urine, then the liver inflammation is more likely.
If you have these symptoms, it is better to get a liver function test done in the blood.
