Brief Answer:
Mumps infection is not a contraindication for donating blood.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.

Mumps infection is not transmitted by blood route.
Thus, you can safely donate blood.
There are certain blood tests which need to be done before you can donate blood.
Common viral infections are HIV, hepatitis B and hepatitis C infection.
These are major screening tests required before donating.
Other pre-requisites are age between 18 to 50 years, hemoglobin above 12.5 gm %, no history of discharge per urethral, no history of blood infection like malaria etc to name a few.
