Is Dry Throat Post Intake Of Doxycycline A Symptom Of HIV?
Question: I've a dry throat after taking doxycycline for suspected Chlamydia. It's not very dry, I just feel like there's something there really. Wondering if this goes along any diagnosis/symptoms for HIV?
What should i do, I was tested about 3 weeks ago and was found HIV negative. Of late, i've also had a very slight headache which I suspected to be a side effect of doxycycline. It's not been serious, nor the throat to be honest. I'm just checking to see if what i'm experiencing could be closely related to HIV infection.
Lastly, please could you outline the most popular signs people with HIV get within a month of being exposed.
Many thanks

Brief Answer:
Not related to HIV.
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
Welcome to HCM.
Dry throat is not related to HIV, it might be due to some other infection so no need to think anxiously. The symptoms of HIV include chronic fever, chronic diarrhea, unexplained weight loss, chronic cough for more than one month etc.
Consult your physician to isolate the cause and follow the treatment regime as per the advice. You can go for repeat testing after one month to relieve your anxiety and fear related to HIV. Be relaxed and move ahead in life happily.
Thank You
