Is Extreme Stomach And Back Pain A Sign Of Abdominal Aneurysm?
need to be examined with abdominal CT- scan
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking on HCM!
I read carefully all your concerns and I can say as follows :
1. You are reporting to have had stomach and back pain. Your symptoms may be related with:
- GERD\ gastritis \ stomach ulcer
- pancreatic issues
2. With regards to aortic abdominal aneurysm usually it is related with more severe abdominal pain .
Otherwise you need to be examined to better evaluate your diagnosis. So if I were your treating doctor I would suggest to do :
- abdominal CT scan with IV contrast ( it will help to rule out abdominal aneurysm)
- upper endoscopy.
3. Meantime I would suggest to:
- use PPI's like Prilosec OTC
- use antacids like gaviscon
- avoid spicy and chilly foods
- eat often and small amount of meal
- use two pillows when you lay down
Hope it was helpful to you!

Hi back,
If it is not possibile to do a ct scan , please perform abdominal ultrasound .
I would suggest to use simethicone the day before the exam.
Simethicone will help to avoid gass forming so you will get a more accurate opinion from abdominal ultrasound.
Abdominal US can determine aortic aneurism too.
Hope it was helpful to you!

Detailed Answer:
Hi back and sorry for my late.
Thank you for providing more of your medical data.
If you have done ct scan one year ago than there is nothing to be worries about aneurism.
Ameurism is an issue usually for a long time ago and that complicates with disecation or thromosis.
In cases of complication it cause severe abdominal pain.
This is why there in your case there is nothing to be worried and suspect aneurism.
Hope it was helpful to you.
