Question: Is garcinia cambogia safe to take if you have high blood pressure? I have just started a couple of days ago, have taken my blood pressure and it is fine. Does it interact with sertroline, hydrodiuril, acebutolol, potassium . I hope not as on Dr Oz he kind of recommends this way of losing weight. Is it safe for any adult that needs to lose weight? I am over 200 lbs and I think perhaps the risk of this might be better than the risk of my weight?? Looking forward to your answer. Thanks, XXXXXXX

I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through. Garcinia Combogia doesn't have any significant interaction with sertraline, hydrodiuril, acebutalol or potassium. Its fine if you take G. Combogia with these medications. However I am skeptical about the benefits. To my knowledge, atleast 8-10 of my patients have tried this preparations, and none of them could have any documented benefits. One of the person did loose 2-4 Kg but gained it immediately after stopping the product. Basically lifestyle changes are the most important thing in this.
