Is High Dose Intravenous Vitamin C Advisable For Chronic Hepatitis B?
yes you could give it a try, under research topic. No solid documented proofs are there.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for choosing HealthcareMagic for your query dear,
Have gone through your details and i appreciate your concerns.
Though this treatment is still under research yet latest trials have shown that high dose intravenous vitamin C therapy has a positive effect on duration of disease and significantly reduces viral antibody levels and reduces the risk of complications in future.
High extracellular levels of ascorbic acid are reported to have anti-viral effects in humans and animals. Ascorbic acid generates extracellular hydrogen peroxide, which releases free oxygen radicals which destroys cells infected with viruses, including HBV, but not to normal cells.
Though this method is still in research yet safety index are very high and can be given a trial. However documented text book proofs are still not available.
Thanks

Hi again,
Yes off course apart from vitamin C a number of other drugs are under trial some of them in thier last phases.
There are two new tenofovir prodrugs, called TAF and CMX 157, that are more effective at reaching liver cells and impeding HBV replication. TAF is now in Phase III clinical trials and is expected to reach the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) soon.
Myrcludex B is an experimental drug for the treatment of hepatitis B and D. The first Phase IIa clinical trials with 40 patients concluded in 2014. A dose-dependent effect on HBV DNA was observed HBV DNA decline at week 12 occurred in (75%) patients receiving 10mg Myrcludex B.
One of the more advanced molecular strategies, already in Phase II trials, is a “silencing” RNA process. This approach uses RNAi gene silencers to target and destroy HBV RNA to prevent viral reproduction. “CccDNA remains,” Block explained, “but all of its gene products it needs are choked.”it will take about 5-10 years time to be out in market.
Apart from them a number of othe drugs are under trial phase at present.
Rest assure there will be many new options in next 5-8 years.
Thanks.

Hi again,
Till date, the results are excellent so we can say that we are near cure(informally).
However, still, these words are not documented in any of the standards books.
But as a gastroenterologist going through the publications and results of the trial I feel that researchers are near the cure.
Regards.
Definitely yes.

Hi again,
I suffered from Meniere's disease for 13 years. You can read about this on google. I tried every possible treatment in modern medicine but was not at all relieved. However after 13 years of unsuccesful treatment i decided to go for homeopathy. Though i have no faith on homeopathy but i decided to give it a try.
It has been more then 1 year and i din't had another attack of vertigo since then(earlier i use to have them every second day).I am still on medication. So definitely you should try homeopathy but first thing is that get a good physician. Not all homeopath's are good in making diagnosis.

Overall fasting enhances HBV RNA and DNA synthesis.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again Dear,
As per the trials done on mouse for reviewing the effect of Fasting on Hepatitis B it has been demonstrated that secreted HBV e antigen (HBeAg) encoded by the precore is increased approximately 40% as a consequence of fasting for 48 h. Consistent with this observation, fasting is associated with approximately the same increase in viral RNA synthesis. And in Ramdan you need to fast for 30 days so i won't suggest you to fast.Overall, results suggest that fasting enhances HBV RNA and DNA synthesis to a modest extent.
