How much period is required to rule out recurrence of this disease. Also I have to know whether any serious side effects are there after chemotherapy.

Hello dear. With the current treatment, 70 percent of patients get cured. 30 percent usually relapse in 5 years. After 5 years relapse is rare.
Side effects of chemo can be nausea, vomiting, hair loss, loss of appetite, lethargy etc.
