Question: Sir,

How can you say that there is no problem in being homosexual or bisexual? What will the society say? Is this right from your side for two homosexuals to live together? I want to be straight. I told you my history. Now, what shall I do?

Being homosexual or bisexual is a problem or not is a very controversial issue. According to culture, values, norms, belief of society, countries law opinion varies.

Personally and according to guidelines of psychiatry it is problem only when person himself/herself is uncomfortable with such different thoughts of sexuality.

In society particularly in XXXXXXX there is no consensus and opinion widely varies according to different groups.

In my personal opinion it is right that two homosexual live together provided they are comfortable with each other and no disturbance due to homosexuality itself.

If you are homosexual and you want to be straight it is possible. For that you need help of a psychiatrist/psychologist who is good at dealing with such cases. You need psychotherapy. Psycho-dynamic psychotherapy, behavior therapy and cognitive therapy are useful. It may require at least 10 -12 sessions depending upon history.
