Is Influenza Vaccine Advisable For A 6 Month Old Infant?
Question: Is INFLUENZA vaccination mandatory at 6 MONTHS AGE OF BABY. I do not see it in my IAP schedule but local nursery is recommending it.
Brief Answer:
Not mandatory
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on Health care magic.
Influenza vaccine is not a mandatory vaccine. Please note that there are many other viruses that may cause similar presentation of cough and cold. Moreover, influenza vaccine provides protection for only one flu season.
I do not think that you need to go for influenza vaccine for your child.
