What Are The Side Effects Of Soframycin?

I have been taking soframycin for two days for a viral conjunctivitis. Can its flow down the back of my nose and throat be the cause of my wretching and gagging? I m a 60-year-old female, 5ft 2in and had my tonsils removed in my 20s. I have had a bad flu and my left eye was all gunged up and I had ringing in my left ear when I woke up the other day. The doctor prescribed soframycin for the conjunctivitis. Can I stop it after two days without causing it to recur?

Hi,

These are typical symptoms of side effects of Soframycin. You can discontinue its usage .instead you can try acyclovir eye drops 3 times a day for 5-7 days and tear-plus drops 3 times a day plus warm compressions and wearing goggles. It'll settle down in 2 weeks.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
