Is Intermittent Brown Vaginal Discharge Before Menstruation A Symptom Of Cancer?

Question: hello
I am a 42 yr old female, single slim to, average weight, non
smoker, regular periods, hormone levels checked 5 months ago, all good, pap smear from
10months ago ok
, pelvic us 5 months ago, all ok, genera health ok, not sexually active for 20 yrs so vaginal canal narrow, have had 7 days intermittant brown discharge before period due, today got cramps and a bright red blood spot, no period, had cramps last week but no period, had a vaginal exam
and another pap smear 2 days ago, having anothr pelvic us tuesday
do i have cancer? whats happening i am terified, very scared

Such bleeding episodes are common once in a while.

This is generally due to minor hormonal variation in the body leading to thick endometrium. This endometrium is shed leading such bleeding pattern.

This does not appear to be cancer. There is no need to worry about it.

have had 7 days brown discharge now today bright red spot with small clot? is this period? why did i have cramps 7 days ago and brown discharge and now mild cramps yesterday and blood spot today? what is that,
will i get period now? worried
