Is It Advisable To Take Haldol And Celexa For Nystagmus?
Brief Answer:
Celexa and Haldol use has some risks.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX and thanks for using HCM.
I have read carefully your query and understand your concerns.
You are right, combination of Citalopram (Celexa) with Haloperidol (Haldol) use, poses the risk of developing serious side effects such neuroleptic malignant syndrome.
Nystagmus is a very rare side effect of Celexa use and is temporary.
If no other symptoms or side effects related to Celexa use, besides to nystagmus, I think there is no need for aggressive treatment.
If it is possible, lowering Celexa dose should improve nystagmus too.
Hope this helps. I remain at your disposal for further questions or clarifications.
Best regards.

Brief Answer:
"Spacey" feeling should subside.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back XXXXXXX
If no other symptoms, just "spacey" feeling should subside after Citalopram dose lowering.
I think decreasing 10 % of dose every month is okay.
Hope this helps. Wishing you and your husband good health.
