Is It Necessary To Give Pulse Polio Dose Despite Of Giving Oral Polio Vaccine Last Month?

Question: Hi Dr. XXXXXXX
How are you??My baby XXXX is doing well only sometimes she does not poop for 6-7 days & few days ago she started crying continously at midnight. we had to visit the Dr. immediately wherein Dr. said it is due to gastric problem After some days she had cold & was advised Axbex & caulicad.. now she is fine.XXXXX was given vaccination of oral polio vaccine on 31-Jan-2015 last time.However there is a polio vaccine day today at all the booths & hospitals. Should we give it to her or should we follow the Vaccination scheduler??

Good that she is fine now.
The polio camp for oral polio vaccine should be given for all babies upto 5 years. Even if received last oral polio on 31 XXXXXXX it is better to take today's pulse polio dose
These are extra doses to make sure no child gets polio ever in XXXXXXX again.
