Is It Normal To Have A Microalbumin Level Of 2153 Mg/l?
Question: microalbumin level of 2153 mg/l. Is this possible? I should be dead, right?
Brief Answer:
Hi and welcome to XXXXXXX
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the query.
If you did a 24-hour urine collection then this result probably means that there was 2153mg protein leakage per day(sometomes doctors measure microalbumines in urine sample and it can be over 2000mg/l) so this is possible and you would not be dead, you just have significant kidney damage due to diabetes, high BP or both. Of course, you should repeat this test but your kidenys should be evaluated by checking creatinine and urea levels and i.v. urography. Also, BP and blood sugar should be regulated.
Wish you good health. Feel free to ask. Regards
