Is It Normal To Have Vaginal Discharge Post Ureaplasma Infection Treatment?
Likely to be a normal discharge.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Some amount of vaginal discharge is normal, there are glands that secrete a mucoid discharge that varies according to where a women is in her menstrual cycle.
At about day 14 of the cycle , when ovulation occurs there is an increase in secretions.
The white discharge that you have is likely to be due to your healthy vaginal flora.
If the discharge is slightly yellow, with itching then it may be a yeast infection which can be treated with an over the counter anti fungal cream or ovules
If it is whitish gray with an odor then it may be due to bacterial vaginosis which is also treated with topical agents.
If there is a organism mixed with the mucus to cause a discharge, identification would require a swab to be done by your doctor. The discharge is not likely to be related to ureaplasma infection that you had earlier. It will gradually decrease on its own.
You can do the following things to decrease the discharge-
1.Avoid irritation of the genital organs caused by various factors such as dirt, soiled under garments, intestinal worms and excessive mental stimulation of sex or masturbation.
2. One of the things you can add to your daily diet is a banana that is dipped in clarified butter or ghee. This should be eaten with breakfast and lunch.
3. Increase your intake of cranberry juice. This juice has quite a number of properties that are good for women.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The mild change in the appearance of the discharge is due to a mild change in vaginal flora and pH. Since you took antibiotics many times it can affect the vaginal flora. It is best to just wait for a few weeks and continue with Gynophills and polygynax.
