Is It Possible For Acute Pancreatitis To Turn Into Cancer?
Question: inflammation of pancreas. (Pancreatitis) is there possible for that to turn in cancer

Acute pancreatitis is inflammation of pancreas caused in most cases by gallbladder stones or alcohol. It usually improve within few days of antibiotics and there is no consequence unless necrotic pancraatitis occur,in this case it must be surgically managed. Chronic pancreatitis is something else. It iccurs in excessive and long alcohol abuse or in some methabolic diseases. In this case pancreatic pseudocysts can develop inside pancreatic parenchima. Such cysts are almost always benign but may grow to significant size and cause some difficulties. Very rarely these cysts may increase risk of tumor develpment so generally such risk is very minor.
