Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM.
I am Dr Rakesh Sharma answering your query.
I can understand your concern.
Dampening of adverse effect of vision snow is difficult but not impossible. Though the progress is very slow, but is possible, if not completely then partially.
Your doctor has given you good drug for the same.
You can also add Methylcobalamin which is said to be a good supplement for the same.
Hope I have answered your query.
If any thing else you are welcome, or you can close the query by rating the answer.

How am I suppose to get this Methylcobalamin, is it prescription only?
I have taken Sumatriptan for near two years and my Neurologist prescribe it for migraines, not because of vision snow. He informed me that he has no clue what to do for vision snow. I only take the prescription if I have a real harsh migraine. I do not take it on a regular basis, usually less than once a month.
However, I have inquiry about vision snow because it has for me starting to get much worst. What path can I take "now" without waiting three months to schedule another appointment with the Neurologist who has already started he does not know what to do for vision snow?

Brief Answer:
Methylcobalamin,is a vitamin supplement and is Over The Counter
Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
Methylcobalamin is a vitamin supplement, so it should be available over the counter in your state.
Actually there is no documented sure shot treatment of vision snow.
Doctors have tried various combinations. It is a long shot, not sure how much it would help you.
Clonazepam (Prescription drug) and methylcobalamin has given some result in some patients. You should go back to your Neurologist and bring up the usage of Clonazepam. If they are still unsure as how to proceed, a visit to a good Ophthalmologist would be in order.
You are right in taking Sumatriptan SOS. That's the smartest thing to do there.
