Is It Possible To Detox Liver By Taking Certain Products?
These programs suggest that when the liver is detoxed it would function more efficiently to use carbohydrates first and then use fat as energy. Is this true?
If so how do you know when the liver is detoxed?
And last, is there a way to know when your, body during exercise, has used up the carbohydrate stores and shifting over to use fat. How long does it take.
I am currently doing a detox bath with sea buckhorn, sea algae, juniper oil and lemon oil. The detox program suggest that after brushing my skin and taking a warm bath the ingredients above can be absorbed into through the skin and into the blood stream and thus the liver to help detox the liver. is this true.
Detoxifying diets/baths dont work
Detailed Answer:
Hello, greetings!
There is very little unproven evidence that detox diets actually work.
In our body, the kidneys, liver, skin and even lungs are constantly detoxifying.
Any detoxifying diet is just a fad which doesn't really help. All these diets do, is make you consume the same food over over again, depriving you of essential nutrients like those present in meat and diary. These diets make you feel low, sluggish and reduce the energy levels.
Instead, I would recommend you to consume a balanced diet, refrain from too much smoking or alcohol, include fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet, avoid too sugary food and drinks. This would help you develop a healthy metabolism and improve your immunity levels.
The only way you can know that your body has shifted over to use up stored fat is when your body loses weight. Building up of muscle is associated with weight gain.
There is no evidence that any detoxifying baths actually help the liver. It is just a myth.
