Hi,

If the father is O positive and mother AB negative, yes, it is possible to have a child B positive. If this is the first child, there is nothing to fear about abortion.

Problems will come with the following children, that's why, mothers are given 2 shots of Rh immune-globulin after the first pregnancy, which serve as potential vaccine to prevent neonatal hemolysis in the following pregnancies.

In genetics, crossing of genes is common, so, this is possible.
