Is It Possible To Lose Weight While Being On Aspavor And Euthyrox?

cross fitting
both would help
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
You should be able to lose weight on these medications.
Glucophage (metformin) reduces insulin resistance which is a factor is weight gain. The response varies from one person to the next. It is definitely not associated with weight gain but some persons simply remain at their own weight whereas others lose weight.
Your dose is not maximum so if you do not note a response at this dose, it can be increased.
If you have any GI effects (nausea, vomiting, bloating, change in bowel habits) then you should consider reducing down to a minimum dose and increasing it slowly to allow your body to learn to tolerate it.
Euthyrox should also help with weight. Low levels of thyroid hormones can slow down the metabolism.
If you normalize your thyroid hormone levels then your metabolism should improve and you should have weight loss.
In addition to the above, it would be important to make dietary and activity changes.
Summary: (1) both of these medications can help with weight loss
(2) if you have GI effects from the glucophage, decrease to a low dose and increase slowly
(3)if dose not effective, may need adjustment
(4)neither would work without lifestyle changes as well
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

I just want to know when will you see the result of the medication start working, I drink it now for 10 days, the Euthyrox and the aspavor, i adjust my glucophage to 1, is was on 2 a day at night, just scared that this will affect your kidneys or liver? Must i change back then to 2 gluchage at night? My Thyriod results was normal by the gynae said TSh was last year 1.52 and now 3.2, and my Free T4 was 17 and now 15, do i still need to drink the euthyrox 50mg a day.
A Second opionion please
2 to 4 weeks
Detailed Answer:
HI
NO, using the glucophage at 2 g should not have any effect, most persons use it with no effect on these organs.
If you already have kidney disease then the dose is reduced but if you do not then you can use at 2g unless you cannot tolerate the GI effects (nausea, vomiting, bloating, abdominal pain, change in bowel movements).
The thyroid is likely normal because of the medication, if it is stopped, it may become abnormal again. If you wish to determine if your thyroid will be normal even without medication, you should speak to your doctor.
It depends on the specific type of thyroid disease that you have.
If you stop the thyroid meds, your metabolism may slow down and it would not help with weight loss.
It can take 2 to 4 weeks for any changes but remember, these meds will not cause weight loss on their own.
They would only work if there are also major changes in diet and activity as well
Please feel free to ask any thing else

And the Glucophage is not 2g, one tab is 500mg i drink 2 (1000mg) a dag at night and the aspovar 10mg, will it not effect my kidneys or liver, now that i will start drinking al this meds :-). And will it also help for metabolic syndrome?
Thanks
no should not have an effect
Detailed Answer:
HI
The glucophage at 1 g is fine, it is recommended for metabolic syndrome. Metabolic syndrome is associated with resistance to insulin (the body does not respond to its own insuling).
Glucophage will help to reduce this resistance.
As mentioned before it should not have any effect on your kidneys or liver.
The thyroid medication will help to speed up your metabolism. If your hormone levels go above the normal range then your doctor may discontinue them but if they remain within range then it is fine.
