Is It Safe To Conceive When Diagnosed With Elevated Triglyceride Levels?
Question: I have pcod . I have been on XXXXXXX ls for about 1 year . In february we decided for family planning . We went to a doc , he referred clomid ,oosure , diva fsh injection, duphastone. Out of all these medicines I took clomid for 5 days & oosure for 10 days in march. I didn't take diva fsh & duphastone .Later one mishap happend in my family so we are lill bit disturbed & thought we'll start planing from next month with all reports. So I didnt take any more oosure or clomid during april cycle . 20th April was my last period the amount of blood was very less. We went for all the test . The usg report is attached & my tryglyceride level reaches 522 . Please tell me from my usg report do I need to operate or medicine will take care the issue of CYST ? If I have high tryglyceride can I try to conceive with these level ? what should be my precautionary steps to conceive ?

Thanks for the query to hcm,
I have gone through the reports and it is evident that you have PCOD with multiple subcentemetric follicles and ovarian volume more than 10cc in both ovaries. You have been rightly advised to undergo ovulation induction with controlled ovarian stimulation with clomiphene and oosure , however the large follicular cyst in the left ovary , which is a simple cyst being more than 4cm in size will not decrease in size with oc pills hence and a laparoscopic cystectomy would have to be undertaken.
Also it is important to learn that no further ovulation induction cycle should be undertaken till that cyst is removed surgically as it would invariably be a failure and can cause risk / complication of cyst rupture.
So please discuss it with your gynecologist and get the cyst laparoscopically removed and then the next fresh cycle can be safely resumed under induction protocol after 2 months of surgery.
