Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for uploading.
I have gone through your report.
The cisterna magna is one part of the brain.
When it is enlarged beyond normal size, it is possible that the baby is having some chromosomal defect or disorder.
This possibility is more, if there are associated structural changes or abnormalities in the brain.
In your case, there is nothing abnormal seen just a prominent cisterna magna.
This is called isolated prominent cisterna magna.
Multiple studies have shown that when this is the case, the babies are normal, and there is no risk .
SO please do not worry.
THis is a normal anatomical variant, and in absence of any other dangerous findings on the ultrasound scan, there is no risk or danger to your baby.
Please stop worrying.
Take regular folic acid supplements.
