Question: hello doctor. i cant get a hold of my dentist. my tooth is hurting and all i have in my house is advils and a antibiotic called augmentin 625mg. should i take augmentin to treat the pain? thank you

If the pain is related to infection, Augmentin may help. Advil also is generally effective at controlling pain and you could take up to 600 mg of this every 8 hours.

Regarding the Augmentin, this must only be taken under the supervsion of your personal physician.
