Is It Safe To Have Imodium For Diarrhea?
Question: I am on dexilant 60 mg 2x a day and have severe diaharrea. Can I use Immodium AD?

- accompanied by blood in the stool
- accompanied by fever
- caused by dexilant!
you can take immodium to relieve it.
Blood in the stool or fever are a relative contraindication to immodium because these findings usually denote serious bacterial invasive gastroenteritis that may get worse with it.
Do you know the cause of your diarrhea?
Please note that dexilant may cause diarrhea itself, although "severe diarrhea" is not common.

I had my gall bladder removed in August including have lpr. I ate a cheeseburger and fries from XXXXXXX I think this may have caused the diarrhea for 1 day and a half. Ate several holiday foods with creams, cheeses, pies etc.
