Question: Sir,

I am 21 years old and I am suffering from Male Pattern Baldness( Frontal HAIR THINNING),I have been using Minoxidil 5% for last 3 months but there is no effect of using Minoxidil 5% as I can see my hair thinning has not stopped,So I consulted different Doctor he has prescribed me 10% Minoxidil as treatment, I have researched through various sources on MPB, and found that Finasteride is more effective in treating MPB than Minoxidil, So I asked my doctor for the same. He told me about its adverse side effects(like sexual dysfunction and Prostate Cancer) and refused to give Finasteride as treatment. But I believe (as i have researched on the internet, a lot) that 1 mg/day would be safe.

My family is healthy, there is no history of infertility and any kind of cancer. Now I believe that these are some suitable options..

1. [5 % Minoxidil - Mx-5] daily 2ml + 1mg/day Finasteride.
2. [10 % Minoxidil - Mx-10] daily 2ml + 1mg/day Finasteride.
3. [10 % Minoxidil +5% Azelaic Acid + 3% Saw Palmetto - Minscalp Plus] daily 2ml + 1mg/day Finasteride.
4. 1mg/day Finasteride.
5. 10 % Minoxidil daily 2ml.



Kindly advice on the same, should I take Finasteride or not. My career prospects depends pretty much on my appearance and I really need a very effective treatment for MPB.

Sir, Is Saw Palmetto is as effective as Finasteride ? And Someone told me that Side effects of Finasteride have been seen only in 3-5 % of patients and they are reversible. Can 1mg/day Finasteride cause Problems ?

It would be better for me.. if you could tell me the names of some medicines (1mg Finasteride) available in XXXXXXX And Should i continue applying 10% minioxidil (or 5% may be) alongwith Finasteride ?
