Question: I am having pelvic endometerosis and my age is 45 years. For past 4 years I didn't have my period. It
started getting flow inside only and doctor advice me take Femilon continously without break. 3 years i have taken contiously. Now again stomach pain i got and checked with the doctor. In scanning it shows the collections got accumulated inside the uterus and noting coming out since the opening of uterus was closed tightly. Then she did DNC and evacuated the collections. After this process in 25 days I got my period. After testing my harmone level is towards menopause and suggested to take MEPRATE 40 MG continously for 3 months. Whether it is correct. Please advice me the impact of this.

YES Iam married and no problem with sexual activity. I am residing in Hosur.
I am having 20years old daughter and she is the only kid for me.
Till 13th November'2011 my periods were regular and came correctly.
Suddenly I got pain continously and suffered for almost 1 year which the
local Hosur doctors were not able to deduct the problem. After 1 year a doctor in XXXXXXX findout that it is pelvice endometrosis and due to that the flow got accumulated around the overies and chocolate cysist formed. Then because it is flowing inside she stopped it by advicing me to take Femilon on continous process. I took for past 3 years with regular check up under her and I took scan in Nov'14 and which shows that chocolate cysist got disappeared and advice me to continue with same femilon. Even though i had femilon last month i got again pain and back to doctor. After that only through DNC process the cervice dialatation done. At present i am in office and the report whatever I am having now will be attached. by tomorrow other blood test reports and other reports will be attached.
On 2.06.15 the evacuation process was done. I have not taken any tablet. Now i checked with a doctor in XXXXXXX After getting scan she told me the cervics are get opened and we can see on the second day of your period. After 4 years again i got my period on 25.06.15 and met the doctor(Bangalore) on 26.06.15. She have taken E2, Lsh and Rh blood test. I will attach this by tomorrow. On seeing the report she told me that it is nearing to Menopause and have Meprate 40 mg one daily for 3 months continously. Whether I will have the periods hereafter. Or what effect will happen on Meprate. Any side effects will come.
Because of Femilon I got harmone imbalance and prolactin was increased. In my pittutary gland one small 3mm x 3mm cysist is there and for that caberlin I am taking. Like this I should not get any thing on taking this Meprate. Please advice me accordingly.

Brief Answer:
No harm in taking Meprate, but no point either.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX
THank you for the detailed updates.
There is no such side effect of Meprate.
Yes, most women get regular periods on taking Meprate on a monthly basis.
But since you are nearing menopause, it does not matter anyway if you menstruate or not.
I see no point in taking Meprate just for 3 months to have periods, what difference does it make ?
ANd do not worry about any side effects.
If you are near menopause, it is alright for your periods to cease completely .
Please upload the remaining reports, particularly the E2, FSH so that I can comment further.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
Explained as below.

Detailed Answer:
Yes, I have gone through the reports.
The hormones are not very suggestive of menopause, you are close to it, but not actually peri menopausal.
Also, the reports suggest that the os ( mouth of the uterus ) is tightly closed, and hence you are not menstruating.
ALso, the endometriosis has affected the lining of the uterus, leading to absent periods.
The ideal situation here is to have a course of antibiotics, and then do nothing.
Meprate will lead to cyclical bleeding, but if the mouth of the uterus gets stenosed again, the blood will again collect inside.
In my opinion, in a few months, you will have menopause, till then, you do not need to take any hormones at all.
The pituitary cyst is very small, and needs to medication at present.
