Is It Safe To Take Methionine And Tryptophan When On Testosterone Replacement Therapy?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: I am on testosterone replacement therapy (testosterone cypionate (.9ml 1x/week) and armidex/anastrozole 1x per week) and use Edarbi for blood pressure regulation. I recently discontinued Lexapro 10mg and am experiencing discontinuation syndrome symptoms. I am using CDP Choline 250mg 1x day which is helping somewhat. A friend had recommended either L tryptophan or SAMe. Is it safe to take either of the above with with my regimen?
Brief Answer:
Testosterone with amino acids
Detailed Answer:
Good day.
Noted your concern. Methionine and Tryptophan are amino acids which should be okay to use. I couldn't find any interaction of these with testosterone. However you should be careful not to use them with certain other prescription medicines.
