Question: Hi, I am a 65 year old man with mild blood pressure for which I take Co-Diovan 80/12.5 (Valsartan and Hydrochlorothiazide tablets).

Viagra may potentiate the BP lowering effect of Codiovan causing hypotension. However, the interaction between two drugs is moderate and they can be used together occasionally (as you already do).
In order to avoid any complications you should follow my advice:
- Use co diovan at the morning and viagra during evenings (at nigh)
- Avoid driving 4-6 hours after taking viagra
- After using viagra stay on bed (avoid standing up directly after sex)
