Brief Answer:
Air travel is safe
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Fibroids outside the uterus generally do not cause any problem in pregnancy or fetal growth.
Air travel is completely safe in second trimester, till 28 weeks of pregnancy. Fibroids will not cause any problem in air travel.

Hello Doctor,
Thank you for your valuable response.
We need to travel from XXXXXXX to XXXXXXX and one hour of taxi travel on either side. Her gynaecologist has said no travel at all Upto 28 weeks because she had bleeding and she can travel only after 28 weeks but not recommended. But we need to travel compulsorily as she can't stay here alone . Just wanted to be sure if she can travel
Also wanted to make a point that she is now regular to her office where she needs to travel for 30-40 mins daily and doing it without any problems.

Brief Answer:
Its safe
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, thanks for responding. Travel is not recommended in those patients in which the cause of bleeding is low lying placenta or placenta previa in ultrasound, in which chances of disturbances in placenta due to travel can lead to bleeding. In all other cases air travel and road travel by non bumpy road are safe. It is safe for your wife to travel.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Hello Doctor,
Regarding her placenta we have a comment on the USG as "placenta developing posteriorly not reaching OS" not sure what does mean. Is it safe?
I am attaching the USG report of week 13 when she had a bleeding problem. Please look and suggest
After this USG there was no bleeding no spotting and no pain.
Please look into this and suggest.

Brief Answer:
Bleeding due to subchorionic bleed
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, I have reviewed the ultrasound report.
The placenta is normal in position and is not the reason for the bleeding your wife had at 12 weeks of pregnancy.
A small subchorionic bleed is present, which is due to slight bleeding in the fetal membranes, and this was the cause of bleeding at that time.
This subchorionic bleeds resolves with time, and no further bleeding means that it has resolved.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
