Is It Safe To Travel By Flight During 5 Weeks Of Pregnancy?

Question: I am currently 5 weeks pregnant, and I need to take two back and forth flights (3 hours each) next week (going on Sunday and returning on Wednesday). I am wondering if it's safe to fly at this point of time.
Brief Answer:
BEST AVOIDED.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Travelling in the first trimester is best avoided, as rightly pointed out by your doctor.
Is the reason for travel really urgent ?
You can take Dubagest and travel if really there is no way to avoid it, but again, I would ask you to refrain if possible.
If you DO travel, take home made food with you.
Take an aisle seat and keep moving.
Drink lots of water during travel.
Have a companion ready, who can handle the luggage.
Do not strain, bend, lift weights and avoid crowds.
All the best
Please feel free to discuss further.
