Is It Safe To Travel During First Two Months Of Pregnancy?

My wife missed her periods last week and has symptoms indicating pregnancy. She needs to travel by train in 2-3 weeks from now. It would be a 11 - 12 hours journey. Please suggest if its safe to travel during first two months of pregnancy.
Regards!
Thanks for the question.
Most women can manage to travel without any problem in first trimester of pregnancy. In addition train journey is much safer compared to other means of transport and if someone is accompanying her then that will reduce her physical activities.
But it would be ideal to see gynecologist and get sonography done just before travel to know that everything is normal.
During travelling she has to take care of water intake, food intake and try to avoid contact with other people as much as possible to prevent routine infections.
She should carry her regular medicines with her, particular for nausea and vomiting.
If possible to break the journey in two half’s, so that she can rest in between.
Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to ask if there are doubts.
Regards
