Yes if you stop taking Marijuana (no smoking a joint or eating a pot-laced brownie) there are chances that there will be no harm of surgery.
You need to stop at least more than a week before surgery and also remain openly truthful to your surgeon and anesthesiologist. If you have had smoked marijuana 6-8 weeks before surgery you should tell the medical staff and they should postpone the procedure for fear of uncontrolled blood pressure, breathing issues, heart attack and uncontrolled bleeding.
