Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
1) The symptoms that you have described are likely to be due to early degenerative changes in the knee joint and Vitamin D3 deficiency. The symptoms do improve after proper treatment. Regular knee strengthening exercises are needed after pain subsides to prevent the further progression of the problem. You will be pain free with proper treatment.
2) It will take 3-4 weeks for the inflammation to subside. You can take a mild pain killer like ibuprofen after meals. Do add vitamin D3 supplements and plenty of fluids orally after getting the levels evaluated. It is best if you continue with proper knee exercises as long as you can.
3) It is not related to renal stones. Raised uric acid levels can cause such inflammation. Vitamin D3 deficiency can also cause this.
4) The tests suggested are necessary. You can also get your vitamin D3 levels evaluated along with these.
5) Yes. Squatting will increase the inflammation.
6) No. You can relax in any position as ling as your knee is not bearing your body weight.
7) The tightness and swelling is due to fluid retention and muscle cramps. It is due to decreased fluid intake and less exercise of the leg muscles.
I hope this answers your query.
