Is Left-sided Back Pain A Symptom Of Heart Attack?
Question: I have been having high, left side back pain for two days. If I put my left hand over my shoulders I can touch the area that hurts. Sometime the pain is in my shoulder too. I can feel it from my spine to my shoulder.
Could this be a pre-symptom of a heart attack?

I have studied your case. Though from your history it looks like muscle spasm pain still pain on left side of chest going in to neck and left shoulder can be due to heart problem. Chances are higher if these conditions coexist.
1.You have Diabetes, obesity or hypertension.
2.You are having this pain on exertion and not on rest
3.You are also feeling like someone is squeezing your chest.
If any of these conditions are present then I would suggest you to not to waste any time and go to emergency as soon as possible and get your blood pressure check up and ECG. Wasting time at home can cause serious complication.
