Is Long Term Use Of Domstal Advisable?

Question: Hi,

I am posting this below question on behalf of my wife. request you to do the needful.

Hi, my baby is 11 months old and I breastfeed him. I have been on lactare capsules and domstal for 3 months. It's like I started with lactare and as long and I consumed it my milk production was fine and as soon I stop and decreases gradually, Same with domstal. I want to feed him atleast for another 3-4 months. I want to know if it is safe to take medicine for so long. Is there any side effect? Thank you

Thanks for your query.

I understand your concerns. She can continue taking lactare capsules as it is a herbal supplement and has no harm. She can take domstal tablet also to the previous effective dose. Once she is having good milk production she can try reducing the dose of domstal tablet and keep check on milk production and take the minimum dose of domstal required.

She can continue the supplements for another 3 months, no problem.

In case the symptom persists or worsens it is best for you to visit her obstetrician and gynecologist for further treatment.
