Question: Is it safe to take one only 15mg oxazepam to try and get some sleep tonight. I am suffering non stop hiccups from dexmethasone tablets that I am taking to treat Multiple Myeloma. I have taken the dex for four days and am on my second day break before having to start them again this Friday XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
it is usually considered safe

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
It is usually fine to take oxazepam in such low dose for sleep. The drug is safe for liver and kidney and old age & is unlikely to pose any major issue.

If you donot get enough sleep with 15mg - then you may even hike the dosage.

Wish you good health.
