Is Nausea At 26 Weeks Of Pregnancy Normal?
I m 26 weeks and 4 days pregnant today and since the last 3 days i m having too much nausea and acidity again.
it seems as if my first trimester symptoms are coming back and i m not able to eat much again?
is it normal to have nausea at this stage of pregnancy?
NORMAL, REMEDIES LISTED.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Am glad to be of help to you again.
Normally, nausea subsides at the end of the first trimester.
Sometimes, in some women as the uterus grows and enlarges in size, it puts pressure on the stomach and other organs, leading to acidity and nausea again.
SO yes, do not worry, it is normal for some pregnant women to experience this, continuing till right upto the end of term in the third trimester.
Simple remedies will help you -
1. Eat home made, fresh, bland food. Avoid spicy, oily , greasy, fried or stale food. Avoid eating outside.
2. Instead of 2 big meals, have 5 - 6 spaced out meals.
3. Take lots of water, buttermilk, coconut water, nimbu pani etc,
4. You can take Sinate - OD tablet, this is needed just once a day, early in the morning, it will help your nausea.
5. You can take Pantop - D tablet twice a day to combat the acidity.
6. Before sleeping, take a glass of chilled milk at night.
7. Sleep with pillows propping up your head at night.
8. After any meal, avoid lying down or sleeping for atleast 2 hours.
9. Avoid stress or worrying, as it compounds the acidity.
10. You can add simple items like lemon, cinnamom, ketchup to your food instead of chillies and spices to alter the taste and improve your nausea.
11. Appetite varies during various pregnancy stages, and during summer, a decreased appetite is quite normal. As long as the baby weight is fine on ultrasound, you do not have to worry about your appetite. Substitute fluids like soups and juices if you cannot eat much solid food.
12. Take regular iron, calcium and protein supplements.
Hope this helped you.
All the best
Please feel free to discuss further.
SAFE TO TAKE.
Detailed Answer:
Kidney stones cannot cause nausea and acidity.
Shoulder pain could be due to mild positional discomfort during sleep.
Also joints relax during pregnancy , leading to increased joint pain.
You can take a hot water bottle and keep it underneath your shoulder .
Sinate - OD contains doxinate, but the brand is better, try taking that.
Neksium is safe during pregnancy, you can take it in place of Pantop - D.
I m 28 weeks today
Do I need to count the kicks from today ?
My friend told me baby has to kick 10 times in an hour at 28 weeks..is it true?
METHOD EXPLAINED, NO NEED TO COUNT DAILY.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again dear.
No you do not need to specifically count fetal movements, unless some problem has been identified in the pregnancy for which you are overtly worried.
As such, if you want to keep a track, the method is as follows -
After every meal ( breakfast , lunch and dinner ), that is, 3 times a day, after eating, lie on your left lateral side for 1 hour and count the fetal movements.
The total of the 3 hours should be 10.
If the baby moves 10 times after breakfast itself, no need to count for the rest of the day.
You need to keep a general track, no need to specifically count, maybe count specifically once in a week, and then towards the end, when you cross 37 weeks, or if your doctor finds some problem and asks you to be more cautious.
Otherwise just havea general idea if the baby is moving well or not.
Take care.
And the baby kick after lunch 15 times
But when I m at work or walking he doesn't kick
NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT
Detailed Answer:
The cord is nothing to worry about till term, as I said earlier.
It is normal, sometimes babies kick at a time and sometimes they rest.
So just count once a week strictly, following the 3 hour method, rest just have a general idea.
Take care.
before conceiving my weight was 53 kgs and by 12th week i lost 4.5 kgs and my weight was 48.5
now at 28 weeks my weight is 56 kgs at night.
my baby weighs 840 grams at 26 weeks which is normal..:)
is my weight gain normal?
should i count my weight gain from the start of pregnancy or from 12th week?
if my weight gain is not ok then what should i do?
WEIGHT GAIN IS NORMAL
Detailed Answer:
Hello
If you were of normal weight before pregnancy, you can expect to gain between 11 - 15 in pregnancy totally.
Ideally , from the second trimester onwards, it should be 0.4 to 0.5 kg per week.
Considering that your weight gain started from the 12th week onwards, you should have put on around 8 kgs by now.
Your weight has increased from 48 to 56 kg, exactly 8 kgs.
It is normal for women to lose weight in the first trimester.
And after that, your weight gain has been normal.
Until term, you can expect to gain another 6 - 8 kg.
So do not worry about your weight gain.
All the best
Take care.
is it normal to have high heartbeat in at 28 weeks as i am having high heartbeat even at rest at night...
also i have a lot of restlessness in my legs...is there any cure for that?
COUNT THE HEARTBEAT AND LET ME KNOW
Detailed Answer:
Hello
My apologies for a delayed response.
Normally during pregnancy, due to anxiety and blood changes, higher heart beat is normal.
This is compensatory change to provide blood supply to your baby in addition to your own body.
What is your heartbeat at rest, have you counted it ?
Please count it and let me know.
Do you take any medication for thyroid disorder?
Also, are you taking calcium and vitamin D supplements.
You should be doing so.
Take vitamin B complex and Biotin capsules also daily.
Drink atleast 5 litres of water, that will relieve the leg condition.
Take care.
